About Debra
She is a dedicated business education teacher with over two decades of experience preparing students for careers in business, finance, and entrepreneurship at the secondary level. Currently serving as Business Education Teacher at Ossining High School, where she has taught for over 17 years, she develops and delivers engaging curriculum in business, technology, and financial literacy. Prior to this role, she taught Business Education at North Rockland High School for six years. Her career began in the corporate sector, where she served as Controller at Epoch Internet and as Audit Senior at EY, gaining valuable expertise in accounting, finance, and auditing. She holds a Master of Science in Business Education and a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Hofstra University, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA. She also serves as a Tax Site Coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, preparing and reviewing tax returns for low-income community members. She is recognized as a passionate, student-centered educator who combines real-world business experience with strong teaching skills to inspire and prepare students for successful careers.
