Debra Smith: Nature Does not rush. Yet, She still gets everything completed beautifully.

What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?

Debra Smith: Hello, my name is Deborah Smith. I'm the owner of Hoobs Logistics LLC, a women-owned small business, government contracting business, and I have been asked the question today, what does it mean? To be an influential woman. And to me, it is about overcoming challenges. Being a leader and most importantly, healing trauma and leaning into your emotions because so many of us think that the business. Is being worked on but the business is really working on us. You can only scale and grow the business so much. You must look internally. The more you look internally, the more the business will grow and do amazing, beautiful things. An influential woman takes time for herself. She is calm, she is cool, she is collective, and she focuses on her mental health, so she can make strong decisions over and over again. An influential woman is very decisive with her time. She's building something that she created from the ground up. And that requires love. I would also like to say, let everything you do be in love. If it is not an absolute yes. Then it's a no. And that's OK. An influential woman has boundaries, she has standards, and she's a powerhouse. I was also asked the question, for the next generation: And this is as simple as I can put it. Nature Does not rush. Yet, She still gets everything completed beautifully. Take a look at the trees, take a look at the grass, the birds, the butterflies, all of the beauty that is consistently around us on a daily basis. Do not rush the journey, honey. You will get to where you're going, but do not miss out on the journey. Pay attention to the things, people, and places. And pay attention to what you absolutely love and then go out and do it. I would also like to say, whatever you are thinking that is good. Think bigger. Bye for now.

What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?

Debra Smith: Nature Does not rush. Yet, when you look around, everything is absolutely beautiful. The trees, the grass, the butterflies, the dragonflies, the clouds. She doesn't rush, but it's perfect. And with that being said, Enjoy the journey. We are so focused on how we're gonna get there, that we forget to enjoy the ride. Take some time for yourself to do what you love most. You're gonna get there. And Rome was not built in one day, honey, and it also wasn't torn down in one day. Every single decision you make, it matters. I am always rooting for you. But let what you do be in love and light. Bye for now.
