Her Story
About Dee
Dee Corbin leads from the inside out and believes real culture change starts there too.
Dee has led at the intersection of leadership and integrity, as a primary investigator building institutional accountability from the ground up, as one of the architects behind a school district's Title IX department, and as the trusted voice delivering two years of impact-driven training to the James Madison University football program. But the credentials were never the point. They were the training ground.
What Dee is really building is people.
She's mentored young women and taken that work all the way to the Virginia General Assembly. She's spoken on stages from GirlCon to Women's Empowerment Conferences, reminding girls and women that their faith, authenticity, and vision are worth protecting regardless of circumstance. Her impact hasn't gone unnoticed. She's also been featured on Influential Women, a platform celebrating leaders, innovators, and changemakers across industries.
Grounded in faith. Relentless about leading with authenticity.
Dee holds a B.A. in Psychology from Virginia Union University and is a Dale Carnegie-trained High Impact Presenter. Today, she brings that full range of regulatory fluency, leadership, personal development, and unshakable faith to any room that's ready to lead from the inside out.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dee
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God and grit. My faith has been an important foundation in my journey, while grit has given me the determination to continue moving forward, even when circumstances have been challenging. Pursuing my purpose required a significant leap of faith, tremendous loss, and the courage to remain committed to the vision, even when the path ahead was uncertain.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is, “Don’t be afraid to take up space.” I have carried that advice with me as I have grown professionally and stepped into spaces where my voice, expertise, and perspective can make an impact.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to never lose sight of your vision, regardless of your circumstances. There will be challenges, unexpected changes, and moments when the path forward may not look the way you originally imagined. Stay connected to your purpose, remain committed to your vision, and continue moving forward even when circumstances become difficult.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, faith, and authenticity. I believe in leading and working in a way that is consistent with my values, being genuine in how I show up, and maintaining integrity in the decisions I make. My faith is also an important part of how I approach my life, my career, and the opportunities and challenges that come my way.
