Deidra Ritchhart

Deidra Ritchhart works as a substitute teacher, a position she has held for three years after being inspired by influential educators from her own childhood. In this flexible role, she has taught students of all ages from pre-K through high school, including special education classes. She recently started in security three months ago, handling duties at hotels such as assisting with theft reports and managing interactions with the homeless community. Previously, Ritchhart spent one and a half years in human resources staffing. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in 2021 after facing family deaths, financial issues, and health challenges during her studies. Ritchhart volunteers with the 501c3 Golden Healers, a local Utah nonprofit providing PTSD and psychiatric service dogs to those with disabilities. She has also begun creating films about her college experiences involving sexual violence and hazing incidents, with a goal of theatrical release. Two years ago she filed to run for State Senate, sparking her interest in political activity and potential future involvement in federal politics.
