Deirdre Maria Salsich is an accomplished employment attorney with deep expertise in advising and defending organizations in the healthcare, nonprofit, and higher education sectors. Currently serving as Of Counsel at Devine Millimet in New Hampshire, she brings over a decade of legal experience guiding employers through complex workplace matters, including discrimination prevention, workplace investigations, labor negotiations, accommodations law, and compliance with evolving federal and state employment regulations. A fluent Spanish speaker with experience in both U.S. and international legal issues, Deirdre is known for her culturally competent approach to workplace policy, training, and crisis management.
Before joining Devine Millimet, Deirdre served in key legal roles across public and private institutions, including as Associate General Counsel for the University of Maine System and as Senior HR Compliance Analyst/Attorney for the State of Maine. She has litigated cases at state and federal levels, handled over 140 days of arbitration, and frequently authors thought leadership pieces on employment law. A graduate of Wesleyan University and St. John's University School of Law, Deirdre’s academic background is rooted in Latin American studies and international law, with significant time spent studying in Buenos Aires. Her legal acumen is matched by a strong commitment to civil rights, equity, and public interest work.
