About Deisy
I began my career in the industrial engineering field in 2008 while still completing my software engineering bachelor's degree in Saltillo, Mexico. I started as a document controller at a medical company where I had done my internship, and I really enjoyed the industrial engineering field so much that right after graduating, I decided to pursue a Master's in Industrial Engineering while working full-time in the quality department. Over five years at the medical company, I progressed from document controller to processing unit and eventually to Supply Chain Coordinator, where I focused on end-to-end activities to get materials located closer to the manufacturing location in Saltillo, achieving significant savings for OBL. In 2011, I joined Daimler as a paint process and manufacturing engineer at the SLT, which is the biggest corporation plant in Saltillo. Over the years at Daimler, I've held several key positions including assembly manufacturing engineer, Operational Excellence Leader focused on cost savings, CIA logistics supervisor, and plan for every part and change over supervisor. A fun fact is that I got my promotion to TIO grant when I was pregnant with my first child in 2015. In 2021, I joined the corporate team as a supply chain tooling supervisor in the launch and change management group. For the past 2 years, I've served as Business Process and Quality Projects Program Manager at the truck manufacturing plant in Mount Holly, and I'm excited to share that I'm now being promoted to Corporate Program Manager in the CI Innovation Team at Daimler's headquarters, effective May 26th, and I'll be relocating there by the end of June.
