Her Interview
Ten minutes with Delores
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be patient of other people's abilities. My father at the church, I'm Catholic, gave me that advice and I've always treasured it.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be creative. Don't ignore your inner feelings or your inner thoughts. Experiment with it. Let your curiosity take control of you. Think positive. Don't think that somebody else has already done this. Think about how you could be successful in it.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being a Native American woman in technology was a challenge because it was thought that a woman stays at home. I had to compete against a lot of people and it was always a man's world. The challenge is introducing something to the public that they're unaware of.
