Her Interview

Ten minutes with Denise

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success is mostly attributed to my faith in God more than anything. My family supports me, especially my children who encourage me when I get discouraged. I was a single parent, and they remind me I've been through worse.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I need to get out and do more, spread further, travel out and share my story more with other people outside this area. People have been encouraging me to open up like go to a hall and speak to a lot of people.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't give up, just stay focused. The road isn't easy, there's gonna be some hurdles you gotta climb. It could be worse, so don't complain about the littlest things.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My faith and my trust in God are most important. I want to be led the right way so I don't lead nobody the wrong direction. I want to constantly encourage people not to give up on life, which makes me happy.
