Denise Carter, B.S., is a seasoned forensic toxicologist with over two decades of experience where she serves as a Senior Toxicologist. With extensive expertise in analytical chemistry, testing bodily fluids for drugs, alcohols, and poisons, and providing expert witness testimony, Denise has built a reputation for precision, critical thinking, and scientific integrity. She has contributed to the field through publications in Society of Forensic Toxicologist and Forensic Toxicology, sharing her research on DUI cases and cannabinoid analysis. Beyond her laboratory work, Denise is a dedicated leader and mentor, actively volunteering as an auditor with ANAB-ANSI to ensure forensic labs worldwide maintain the highest standards. She also engages with youth programs to inspire the next generation of forensic scientists, combining her scientific knowledge with a passion for education and mentorship. Her skills in clinical methodology, state-of-the-art instrumentation, and forensic research complement her ability to communicate complex findings effectively to law enforcement and the broader community. The best career advice I’ve received is to never give up and always give my best effort. Staying persistent through challenges and dedicating myself fully to each opportunity has been instrumental in achieving my professional goals.
