About Denise

Denise Carter is an attorney by trade who practiced law for a short time before transitioning into legal business and executive leadership roles. She spent a number of years in DEI, which she describes as culture management, as well as in HR and executive leadership positions. Most recently, she left Providence Healthcare in 2024 after retiring at age 53 and is now 55, exploring new directions including TikTok live streaming, acting opportunities, and a temporary role with Rise Mushrooms. She is the past chair of the Downtown Long Beach Alliance Board and maintains memberships in the National Lawyers Guild, Thurgood Marshall Bar Association, and Advanced OC. Based in Long Beach, California, Carter emphasizes values of integrity and community while advising others to prioritize fair compensation in their careers.
