Her Story
About Denise
Denise Khimthang is the Vice President of Operations at OnCall Staffing and Skilled Trades, a woman-owned staffing company based in Tempe, Arizona, specializing in connecting skilled tradespeople and reliable laborers with businesses in need. After relocating from California to Arizona in 2013, she joined the company and began her career at the ground level, starting as a receptionist before steadily working her way up through staffing coordination, business development, and ultimately into executive operations leadership. Over more than a decade in the field, she has built her career without a traditional college degree, relying instead on hands-on experience, persistence, and a genuine drive to deliver results for both clients and the workforce she supports.
In her current role, Denise oversees the full scope of company operations, from B2B client relations and new business development to recruiting, job site visits, safety oversight, and billing. She played an instrumental part in the company's 2025 expansion and relocation to Tempe, helping position the business for long-term growth. Many of her client relationships have spanned over a decade, a testament to the loyalty she has earned through dependable service and a genuine commitment to meeting each client's staffing needs. She takes equal pride in supporting the workers she places, often going above and beyond through initiatives like daily pay options and transportation assistance to help them build better lives.
Outside the office, Denise prioritizes balance through meditation, exercise, and hiking, practices she credits with keeping her focused and energized in a demanding industry. She has also contributed to community causes, including her involvement with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and was previously active with the Small Business Owners Association. Guided by a belief in trust, integrity, and hard work, Denise hopes her journey encourages others to see that determination and a willingness to seize opportunity can lead to lasting success, regardless of where they start.
