Denisse Villa is a Membership Specialist and community-focused professional based in El Paso, Texas, currently working with the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. With a strong foundation in hospitality and over seven years of experience in restaurant management and guest experience, she has built her career around relationship-building, service excellence, and creating meaningful connections. Her work is centered on supporting local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members by strengthening engagement and increasing visibility within the regional business ecosystem.
In her current role, Denisse focuses on member engagement and community development, helping connect hundreds of businesses with the tools, resources, and networks they need to grow. She plays an active role in marketing and outreach efforts, including newsletters, social media, email campaigns, and event coordination. Her work extends beyond digital strategy into in-person engagement through networking events, workshops, and business development initiatives that foster collaboration and long-term partnerships across the El Paso business community and surrounding regions.
Alongside her professional responsibilities, Denisse is the founder of The Cozy Collective, a community-driven pop-up market that highlights local artists, vintage curators, and small businesses. Through this initiative, she manages event planning, vendor coordination, branding, and marketing to create intentional spaces that elevate local talent. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to empathy, a genuine commitment to helping others, and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those around me. I believe in leading by example, demonstrating integrity, compassion, and dedication in both my personal and professional endeavors. By consistently supporting others, building meaningful relationships, and staying true to my values, I have been able to create opportunities for growth, inspire those around me, and achieve lasting success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is to pursue my dreams with confidence and never let fear of failure prevent me from taking opportunities. I was also encouraged to surround myself with a strong support system of positive, uplifting people who believe in my goals and inspire me to keep moving forward. Having the courage to follow my aspirations and the support of encouraging individuals has been invaluable to both my personal and professional growth.

My advice to young women entering my industry is to be prepared for both the peaks and valleys that come with professional growth. It is important to remain confident, stay grounded, and consistently recognize your own worth, even in challenging moments. By maintaining self-belief, resilience, and a strong sense of purpose, you can navigate obstacles effectively and continue moving forward in your career with strength and clarity.

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to continuously advance my education while pursuing a meaningful career in healthcare. This field is constantly evolving, which creates ongoing opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and expanded impact on patient care. By staying committed to lifelong learning, I am able to adapt to new advancements and contribute more effectively to improving health outcomes and supporting the communities I serve.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life include authentic leadership, being purpose-driven, and consistently advocating for others. I believe in showing up as my unique self and embracing what sets me apart, rather than conforming to expectations. I am also deeply committed to continuous education and personal growth, as I see learning as an essential part of staying effective, relevant, and impactful in everything I do.
