Her Story

About Deseray

Deseray Suprise is an accounting professional with eight years of experience in the field. Her main area of expertise is bookkeeping, which she developed after working at a CPA firm. She is currently pursuing an accounting degree after completing foundational classes toward an associate's degree, with the remainder of her knowledge gained through on-the-job training. As a military spouse, she has lived in multiple locations including being raised in Far Texas after being born in St. Paul, Minnesota. Deseray attributes her professional drive to her upbringing, having grown up very poor and witnessing her parents struggle without college degrees or high school diplomas, which she uses as motivation to accomplish her goals. She is currently unemployed and identifies finding a new position as her primary challenge. In her work, she values communication, honesty, and trust, and she advises young women entering the industry to ask questions, learn as much as possible, and recognize that on-the-job training is highly effective.
