What do you attribute your success to?
I would say probably my drive. I really wanted to succeed in schooling and graduate from college. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. Sometimes I go back and forth, like, I wish I would have done it straight out of high school, but I didn't. But then I think, even though it was a lot harder, I'm very proud of it, because I was working full-time, and I'm a full-time mom, and a wife, as well, when I did it.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To build relationships with their teammates. I think that is one of the most important things.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Both a challenge and an opportunity right now that we're working on is automating a lot of our processes to eliminate error. With our payroll systems, right, there's a ton of opportunity that also creates a lot of change. And change is hard. It's hard to get used to when you make big changes.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I would say honesty, accountability, and dependability. I think those three, they apply both personal and professionally.
