I approach my work with resourcefulness, always finding creative solutions to overcome obstacles and setbacks.

My experience in high-dosage tutoring management has strengthened my ability to lead with strategy and impact. I am consistently willing to learn, adapt, and refine my approach to achieve better outcomes. Honesty and integrity are at the core of how I lead and build trust with others.

I remain focused and resilient, even in the face of adversity. These combined qualities have allowed me to grow, lead effectively, and sustain long-term success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I ever received came from my mother and mentors, who instilled in me a powerful “can do” mindset. They constantly reminded me that I am capable, resilient, and my own greatest champion. That encouragement taught me to trust in my abilities, even when faced with doubt or challenges. By believing in myself, I’ve found the strength to pursue my goals with confidence and purpose.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise young women entering my industry to listen carefully, trust their instincts, and move forward even when things feel uncertain. I encourage them to stay open to opportunities, even those that may not look exactly as expected. Believing in themselves is essential, especially in moments of doubt or challenge. I also emphasize aligning with people who will champion them while remembering to always be their own strongest advocate.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is the ability to get creative despite ongoing budget cuts. I see technology as a powerful tool to streamline processes and expand impact in innovative ways. The changing social landscape also opens doors for me to reimagine how work is approached and how communities are served. By embracing innovation, I am able to find new, effective ways to adapt and thrive.

I place the highest value on my spouse, dog, and family, making quality time with them a central priority in my life. In my professional work, I lead with high expectations and accountability while prioritizing equity, student-centered leadership, and meaningful relationship-building to support urban education initiatives. I foster a team-first culture grounded in straight talk, integrity, compassion, and targeted instructional support.
