About Devanshi
I am a staff data scientist at Credit Karma. My expertise includes understanding user behavior using data and shipping features within the Credit Karma app, as well as building dashboards to understand how metrics are performing. I have almost six years of experience in finance and technology. Growing up I loved math and numbers and was at the top of my class in math. I enrolled in a math, statistics, and economics undergrad degree because of my love for math, and then pursued data science as it felt applicative to the real world and aligned with my family business background.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My family support system has been one of the bigger reasons for my success. I have a calm attitude and take a lot of ownership in my work. I have a drive to grow and learn, always ask for feedback, and stay aware of what is working well and what is not.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Speak up even if you don't know everything. Work hard, but work harder than expected if you want to grow fast. Be very vocal. We have to work a little bit harder to be more confident and voice our opinions.
