Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My children are the reason for my success. They are why I get up every morning and do what I do. One, I just want to provide a life for them, but two, I want them to see what hard work really looks like. Even though the three of us have struggled, we can get through it. You just gotta keep pushing, and you can't make excuses. And so, if I'm trying to embed that in them, I've got to continue to do it. So, they're the reason that I do what I do.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is two-fold. First, to be honest, even when it's difficult. And in that honesty, say what you mean, mean what you say, just don't be mean when you say it. This advice has shaped how I communicate and build trust in my professional relationships. It reminds me that honesty is essential, but the way you deliver that honesty matters just as much.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this industry to be very intentional and be consistent and persistent in your intentions. Don't focus on what other people are doing. Focus on who you are and what you bring to the table, because every one of us has something unique that people can benefit from. If you focus on your uniqueness, I feel that you'll be able to reach more people, and you'll grow better than if you're trying to be like somebody else. Authenticity is extremely important, I think.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I think the biggest challenging thing for me in this role is managing appropriately the people I'm working with for the greater good, making sure that we are all on the same page and all of our talents are being used. That's very challenging for me. As far as outside of my office, I'll be real honest with you, I don't look at other companies or other people to drive me. I just focus on me and my goals, and I'm very narrow-minded in that. I don't compare myself to anyone or anything. I look at me as one of one, and getting up every morning and just comparing myself to what could I do different today that I didn't do yesterday. I've never really focused on what other people are doing to see what I could do better. I've just had goals, I set them, I reach them, and I keep moving.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are honesty, loyalty, authenticity, and just hard work and grind with no excuses. These values guide everything I do. Honesty keeps me grounded in truth, loyalty shapes how I show up for the people who depend on me, authenticity ensures I never pretend to be anything other than who I am, and hard work is what carries me through every challenge. These aren't just words - they're the standards I hold myself to every day.
