About Dhanya

My technical background is electrical engineering. I started in design, moved to manufacturing, and spent the last decade in supplier quality. I began in India, then moved to Singapore, Norway, Houston, Calgary, and the last couple of years in the U.S. I have three teams across the US, EMEA, and APAC. I set the vision for supplier quality, ensure regulatory compliance for life science and diagnostics products, and focus on continuous improvement and people growth.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Dhanya

01What do you attribute your success to?

My motivation has always been the people. Technologies change but how people embrace opportunities and bring vision to the table keeps me motivated. I'm a people person who loves helping others grow and making their lives easier.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Always be hungry for growth and take immense pleasure in seeing your people grow. This advice from my first manager stuck with me.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Embrace the chaos. It's a very different world from academic to industry, especially in operations. Be patient, wait for the right opportunity, and when you get it, don't let it go.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Finding the right people is key. Also, AI is a challenge because we use the term a lot but don't always know what we want from it. We need vision for how AI can enable operations beyond day-to-day use.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being honest and hard work are very important. Earning trust by being honest, owning mistakes, and coming up with solutions rather than covering them up.
