Her Story

About Diamond

I am a sales and account management professional with a strong background in business development, circulation, and administrative support, currently serving as Reprints and Licensing Account Executive at American City Business Journals, a role I have held since April 2025, where I drive sales and manage client relationships for reprints and licensing services. I also serve as a Sales Development Representative at the same organization, a role I have held since September 2023, where I focus on inside sales and lead generation. Prior to these roles, I served in Circulation Sales for nearly two years, where I developed my foundation in sales and customer relationship management.

Before joining American City Business Journals, I served as an Administrative Assistant at Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. in San Diego for over a year, providing administrative support and managing Excel-based reporting. I also served as a Human Resources Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services for over four years, where I supported HR operations and administrative functions.

Across my career in sales, human resources, and administrative support, my work has been driven by a commitment to building strong client relationships, delivering results, and supporting organizational efficiency. Whether I am leading reprints and licensing sales, generating leads, or providing human resources support, I bring a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a dedication to excellence that has earned the trust of colleagues and clients alike. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue growing as a sales professional at American City Business Journals.

Ten minutes with Diamond

01What do you attribute your success to?

I contribute my success to my hometown, my community. I'm from a small town with shop lights, and the saying is, you either leave or you fade, and I surrounded myself around people that got out of the out of my hometown, or and they're doing, you know, things for themselves. They were like mentors to me, letting me know, you know, the sky is not the limit, and you don't have to stay in the hometown. You can dream big and, you know, be in the big city if you wanted to, but you have to believe in yourself.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've ever taken from someone was Stupid question, or you can never ask Too many questions. Be open to Exploring your options, and never, you know, settle just on thinking there's one path. There's always multiple paths to get to where you need to be.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

One advice I would give young women is to believe in themselves. when you believe in yourself, that's all it takes to get to the next level, and just know that you are worthy of being in the room. That you belong in the room, so People have imposter syndrome, where they feel like they're in a position, but they feel like it's not for them, but If you're in the room, that means you're meant to be in there, so believe in yourself and know that you're meant to be in the room.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I would say the challenge in my field, is is connecting with the AI situation. I mean, I feel like it's going to be taking over fairly soon, the world, if it's not already. But just building rapport, and innovation with the AI, I feel like that could be a challenge.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I would say integrity, is most important to me, all of being authentic, and also. My mom calls it the golden rule, but treating others the way you would want to be treated, those are important to me, and I think those things take you far.
