Ten minutes with Diana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to remaining authentic, consistently showing up, and being willing to take creative risks. Throughout my career, I have learned that the most impactful performances and opportunities often come from stepping outside of my comfort zone and bringing personal truth to my work. By embracing challenges and staying committed to growth, I have been able to create meaningful experiences both professionally and personally.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to keep showing up because persistence truly pays off. I was encouraged to try something different, be unpredictable, and explore aspects of myself that may feel uncomfortable to share. I have found that the strongest work often emerges when I push beyond fear, embrace vulnerability, and allow myself to take creative risks that others may not expect.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering the entertainment industry to know their worth, stay true to themselves, and continue showing up even when opportunities seem limited. Be willing to do things that people do not expect, take creative risks, and embrace your individuality. The qualities that make you different are often the ones that will help you stand out. Growth comes from challenging yourself, trusting your instincts, and having the courage to pursue opportunities that may feel uncomfortable at first.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the entertainment industry is the continued shift toward digital casting, self-taped auditions, and virtual interactions. While these tools provide greater accessibility, they can make it more difficult to establish personal connections and read the energy of a room compared to in-person auditions. Additional challenges include productions relocating outside California or overseas, increased competition from non-professional performers, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence. At the same time, digital platforms and social media have created new opportunities for performers to showcase their talents, build audiences, and connect directly with industry professionals.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me are authenticity, integrity, and reliability. I believe in being genuine, treating others with respect, and consistently showing up with professionalism and purpose. Whether I am working on a film set, performing at an event, mentoring young people, or pursuing personal goals, I strive to remain true to myself while maintaining strong character and accountability in everything I do.
