Based in Cleveland, Ohio, she entered the construction industry in 2004 and transitioned into compliance after one to two years, drawing on her prior background in HUD-related housing compliance. Her path began with nursing studies before family circumstances led her to construction and then compliance work, where she helps ensure workers receive proper pay and supports contractors in becoming certified. Correa attributes her success to her parents' emphasis on hard work and pursuing goals, along with the support of her family and her own humble beginnings. She values family above all and maintains a strong work-life balance to enjoy time with loved ones.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Diana
01What do you attribute your success to?
My parents taught me to work hard and go for what I wanted, that anything is possible as long as you work for it. My family has also been key. I came from humble beginnings and learned that you have to work tooth and nail for everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Keep it honest and go for your dreams. If you want to do something bad enough, you can achieve anything. I had no experience when I started in compliance but worked hard and learned it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Women need to empower women and support each other. Don't hate each other, help each other out. People you help today could be the ones helping you tomorrow.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family is most important. Work-life balance is key so you can enjoy the people you work with and spend time with family at the end of the day.
