Her Story

About Diana

I'm a digital marketing consultant who has been working independently since 2016. I help entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized businesses grow with digital strategies, especially with social media, email marketing, BTL strategies, and communication. I also work with personal branding for professionals and people who want to create influence and develop their strategy. My career started at an investment company where I began as an assistant in marketing and grew through the ranks to coordinator, then director, and senior director. It was a whole career and very interesting. When the company had to close, I started to think it was time to try something new, so I started to be freelance and a contractor. I began working with other people in the industry who became my partners in order to lead some projects. I was working with engineers, designers, and project managers. I was using my name for my business, but now that I am married, I'm thinking to renew my personal branding to use my married name. I have a baby now, well, I say baby, but he's already a toddler. I'm taking this time with him, but I'm going to start again to work very soon, and I'm applying also to study a master's to renew my knowledge with artificial intelligence.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to mindset and the context where you are. It's a process, a journey. It starts with mindset and the context where you are. Of course, at the beginning, it was not easy, and there are also other areas where I still struggle, but the more I am close to people who are in a better context, they could be my mentors, they inspire me, they are role models. So the more I have those conversations, it made me grow, and it helps a lot. Self-discovery is also very important, because before getting any outcome in your business, in your life, it comes from the things that you have inside. So you want to be aware of your being, your values, what matters to you. For me, now, it was very helpful to be in therapy, to learn about myself, to be surrounded by people that know more than me, or they are also in other contexts that are different, so I have different conversations, and it's like, okay, I gain different perspectives.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You have to believe so much in yourself, regardless of what is happening in the world, regardless the noise, regardless many things. Once you feel you are connected to your idea, but you believe in yourself that you can do it, and it's connected to your purpose, because purpose is what gives you light. There are going to be hard times, but when you are very clear with your purpose, you're going to find a way to overcome the struggles and everything. But it's a matter of believe, trust, and keep doing, keep doing, keep doing.
