Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a perspective that has shifted over time—from traditional measures like wealth and status to a more personal definition centered on the freedom to choose how and under what conditions I work. My experience co-founding two startups that didn’t succeed taught me resilience and the importance of aligning my work with my values. Through my involvement with Hygieia, supporting women in the janitorial and sanitation industry, I’ve learned that true success comes from empowering others while maintaining autonomy in my own work.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering technical fields is to remember that your interests and values don’t have to conflict with your career path. It’s important to embrace a human-centric perspective in AI development and technology more broadly, ensuring that innovation serves people and communities. By staying true to your principles and cultivating a thoughtful approach, you can build a career that is both meaningful and impactful.
