Her Story
About Diane
I work in healthcare sales with a focus on business development. My background is actually in veterinary technology - I earned my Associate's degree from St. Petersburg College and am certified in the field. What I'm most proud of professionally is leading my team in sales of new products. What really drew me to this industry was an interest in establishing new relationships. I find that building those connections is at the heart of what I do. Right now, one of the biggest challenges we're facing in healthcare is short staffing in healthcare facilities, which impacts everything we do in this space.

Ten minutes with Diane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to chance.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
A BS used to be extraordinarily important, but it's not as important as it could be anymore. I would say the most important thing for someone coming into this field is to identify a mentor, a willing and dedicated mentor in the industry. That's really what will make the difference in your career.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in healthcare right now is short staffing in healthcare facilities. This is impacting the entire industry and creating significant operational difficulties.
