Ten minutes with Diane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Throughout my career, I have embraced opportunities to learn new industries, build meaningful relationships, and support the success of the organizations and communities I serve. Staying organized, maintaining a positive attitude, and being willing to step in wherever needed have been key factors in my professional growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've received is, "People will remember how you made them feel long after they forget what you said." Throughout my career, building genuine relationships and treating others with respect has opened more doors than any title or accomplishment ever could.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to other women entering the industry is to believe in your abilities, be willing to take on new challenges, and never underestimate the value of building relationships. Some of the most rewarding opportunities in my career came from stepping outside my comfort zone and saying "yes" to learning something new. Continue to invest in yourself, seek out mentors, support other women, and remember that success is not just about personal achievement, it's about lifting others up along the way.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I believe one of the biggest challenges today is keeping people connected in a world that is increasingly digital. Building genuine relationships, creating value for members, and maintaining strong community engagement takes intentional effort. At the same time, organizations must continually adapt to new technologies and changing expectations while staying true to their mission and serving their communities effectively.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, service, and community are the values that matter most to me. I believe in leading with kindness, building genuine relationships, and using my skills to help others succeed. Whether in my career or personal life, I strive to make a positive impact, support those around me, and contribute to a stronger, more connected community.
