About Diane
Diane C. Garcia is a Senior Account Executive with over 15 years of progressive experience in strategic sales, financial services, and business solutions. She currently represents Premier Systems, a Toshiba ProMaster Dealer, where she partners with municipalities, educational institutions, and commercial clients to deliver technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency, security, and operational performance. Her career is defined by a consistent record of leadership, top-tier sales performance, and long-term client relationship success.
A native Californian for more than 40 years, Diane began her professional journey in the real estate and financial services industries. While attending Cypress College in California, she earned her California Real Estate License at the age of 19 or 20 and began working alongside her father, a real estate broker. She later transitioned into the lending industry in her early 20s, starting in loan processing and quickly advancing through roles of increasing responsibility. By her mid-20s, she had become an underwriting manager, spending over a decade in the mortgage and lending sector, earning President’s Club recognition and later leveraging her underwriting expertise into sales leadership roles within the organization.
Following her success in finance, Diane expanded into real estate title services before pivoting into the technology and office solutions industry during the 2006 financial downturn in California. She joined Konica Minolta, where she applied her financial acumen to complex solution-based selling and quickly achieved President’s Club honors in a highly competitive Southern California territory. After relocating to Texas to support her family’s transition into retirement, she continued her career growth and joined Toshiba just prior to the pandemic. There, she navigated a challenging market period, secured major accounts including Denton County and multiple ISDs, and became the first female in her office to achieve $1 million in annual revenue. She has since earned multiple President’s Club honors and consistently ranked among the top revenue producers in the Dallas office, including managing one of the top three highest-performing accounts.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Diane
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being authentic and truthful and never compromising my values that my parents instilled in me. The success just came organically and followed from that. My pet peeve is not being respected, so I give that same respect to my clients and my coworkers. I think it's about being myself and being treated as myself too.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to always bet on yourself and be your own number one cheerleader. If you've been successful, you will always accomplish your goals. And if you have to start over again, you know you've accomplished that success before, and you can do it again. Instead of asking 'why me,' ask yourself 'why not me?' Because you deserve it, I deserve it. You know, I deserve all the success, and so do you. I've always been authentic and truthful, and I never compromised on my values that my parents instilled in me. And you know, the success just came organically and followed.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to bet on yourself and become your own strongest advocate. Ask yourself “why not me” and step forward with confidence, knowing that you are capable, deserving, and worthy of every opportunity you pursue. Stay authentic in who you are, because your individuality is a strength in any competitive environment. Most importantly, never compromise your values for success—integrity and authenticity will carry you further than shortcuts ever will, and they will ensure that your achievements are both meaningful and sustainable.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is always competition, and right now the business is changing with AI. It's just learning it and seeing how it fits within my daily workday, and how I can share my knowledge of it with my clients.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life center around self-belief, authenticity, and integrity. I strongly believe in betting on yourself, being your own biggest cheerleader, and having the confidence to ask “why not me” when pursuing opportunities. I value knowing your worth, recognizing that you are deserving of success, and showing up with authenticity in everything you do. Above all, I believe in never compromising your values because integrity is the foundation of lasting success, meaningful relationships, and personal fulfillment.
