About Diane

She is a distinguished law enforcement leader and clinical mental health professional with over eight years of service at the Maryland State Police and a prior career as a psychotherapist, currently serving as Captain and Commander of Education & Training, where she leads training and professional development initiatives for the agency. She also serves as Commander of the Crisis Negotiations Team, providing leadership and strategic direction for crisis response operations. She has held progressive leadership roles including Troop Commander and Barrack Commander, overseeing regional law enforcement operations. Prior to her law enforcement career, she worked as a psychotherapist at Chesapeake Connections, providing individual and group therapy to adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and addictions. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 287. She is recognized as a strategic, compassionate, and results-driven leader who uniquely bridges clinical mental health expertise with law enforcement leadership to enhance public safety, crisis response, and officer development.
