Dina Readinger, EMBA: Speaker: Dina Readinger, Area Representative / Franchise Developer - Zoomin GroominDina Readinger: is understand that you have it. You have everything you need to be successful. What does being an Influential Woman mean to you?Dina Readinger: Hello, my name is Dina Reddinger, and I am the co-founder and creator of Diagnostic Design Thinking. I created it in 2016 after my long corporate career, which I stepped away in 2015 and I asked myself, how could I become a more influential woman leader? How could I be even more confident, but how can I share this with other women? And do other women suffer with the same thing that I think I did throughout my career, which was, you know, everybody's competing for the same role and am I getting passed over and all of the things that we go through this narrative in our mind. And what I found after I finished a women leadership cohort at Washington University, which was fantastic, at the 30 women who finished, I said, and asked the question, Does this particular course help you to solve real world problems in real time? And what I found that most people said, no, it really didn't. So I said, let's do the pilot. Let's get in here and take a look and see if the process that I created because I needed it myself throughout my own lifetime, my own career, could it possibly make a difference for you? And indeed it did. Most of the women were finding new roles, they were creating more happiness, they were figuring out that, you know, their life problems and work problems, and there's a very much of Entangled web for all of us that have families and children and lives and how can we continue to be influential women. Well, first and foremost, we have to support each other. Creating small intimate groups where we're making sure that it's professionally facilitated. I facilitate these groups to make sure that we're solving the right problem at the right time so that you can have strategies to create the success that you need for your one, and you want for your life and your career. What's one piece of advice would you give to younger women chasing their dreams?Dina Readinger: One piece of advice that I give a young woman is, especially someone who's chasing their dreams, is understand that you have it. You have everything you need to be successful. The things that you have to remember is that many times we get stuck in things that we believe to be true based on our experiences throughout our lifetime and especially our childhood. Things that define our beliefs, things that create experiences and also creates behaviors, they all have to kind of be aligned. So if we've got a belief that may not be quite right, we have to have some people that are gonna trust, test the truth meter for us. It's not gonna be your family, it's not gonna be your friends. It's gonna be like-minded women who can help you see what you can't see on your own. Take time to manifest the things that you dearly want and create goals and strategies and timelines that will put you in a place of success.

I attribute my success to standing up for what I believe in and striving to make a meaningful difference every day. In my personal life, I am passionate about my family, exploring new culinary experiences, and spending time with my beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Lyla. I am also the author of Thinking Differently, 18 Strategies to Fix Broken Thinking, a work that reflects my commitment to innovation and perspective on new thinking, and also Healing Healthcare.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to make a plan, execute the plan, assign clear goals and timelines. Lead by example and treat others as you would like to be treated.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to be proud of who you are and have confidence that you can achieve anything. Communicate clearly your needs and desires. Connect the web of influence, and understand who can help guide you along your path of success. Never go alone. Find your posse of like minded women, test your thinking, and author your career. Never wait for other to do this for you, for you control your destiny.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field today is adapting to the ongoing economic changes, especially as it relates to healthcare. Healthcare is broken as nurses are leaving by the millions. New nurses are bathing in cortisol as daily decision load increases the fight and flight response of daily expectation of bedside care, over worked, over whelmed, and understaffed. Healthcare leaders are working to stay on top of the financial crises from COVID fallout, healthcare is in a crises, creating relentless stress on nurses, patients, and systems. Sharon Weinstein and I are actively working to help nurses design the environment where they are safe, healthy, and doing what they love
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are pursuing your passions wholeheartedly and never allowing anything to stand in the way of your dreams. When things get hard, you know you are making progress.
