About DiOnne
DiOnne Dantzler brings three decades of experience to her work in accounting. Her responsibilities include processing payments, overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable, and performing financial forecasting. She earned her bachelor's degree this year and is currently working toward a master's degree, holding membership in Phi Theta Kappa. Dantzler went back to school later in life, an achievement she highlights as notable. She credits her success to her four children, twins and two others including an adopted son, whose futures motivate her to lead by example and create better opportunities. Outside her professional role, Dantzler is an author of children's books, nonfiction, historical fiction, and suspense thrillers, which she sells on Amazon. She advises aspiring professionals to never give up despite obstacles and to listen to their inner voice rather than outside opinions. Dantzler values clear communication, compassion, family, and self-care, and she encourages others in her field to pursue all available education while remaining teachable amid challenges like competition from younger workers and AI.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Being a mom is my drive. My kids motivate me to create a great example and a better life for them. I have four children: twins, one other, and an adopted son.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never give up no matter what obstacles you face. Just press through it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stop listening to outside people. Do what it is that you feel that you can do, and stop listening to outside voices. Listen to your inner self.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include being competitive with younger people and AI. Opportunities: the field is wide open. Get all the education you can in the classroom and outside, and stay teachable.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Communication is key because everybody wants to be heard. Compassion, family, and self-care.
