About Disha

I moved to the United States in 2015 with my husband. After getting work authorization at the end of 2019, I started at FIS Global Solutions as a fraud support associate. For the last 5 years, I have been at ZERN LQ Water Solutions as Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer, focusing on automation testing, performance testing, and quality processes for web and mobile applications. I recently completed an associate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Specialist and was honored with a Presidential Gold Truffle and Presidential Honors Award. My expertise has shifted towards AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Disha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents who have always believed in me, my husband who is my backbone and supported me through busy times, my daughter who showed patience and resilience, and my in-laws who helped with childcare.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received from my mentor is to just keep learning and use those learnings to help yourself grow, because learning should never stop. A person who keeps learning is the person who keeps advancing everywhere.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be confident. Confidence shows people would never take you lightly. Keep a good communication and conversation. If there is something that you do not know, just go ahead and speak about it. The more you speak, the more you learn.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Technologies keep changing really quickly, so it is important to keep yourself updated and adapt. Companies must also adapt or they will be pushed back. There are very few women in IT leadership roles, so women should be heard, promoted, and given equal space.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Discipline and punctuality are very important, learned from my father who was in the military. Be respectful and kind to everyone regardless of who they are.
