About Disha

Disha Surati specializes in marketing and digital management, with a professional journey rooted in graphic design. After completing her undergraduate studies in graphic design and gaining experience as a designer, content writer, and copywriter, she advanced her education with a STEM-designated course in Marketing Analytics. This foundation has guided her work on digital campaigns, content marketing, and SEO over the past one and a half to two years. As someone who moved from India to study and work in a new country, she has navigated challenges in a competitive job market with many qualified candidates possessing varied skill sets. Disha values growth and continuous learning in her professional life and credits the support of her family and friends for enabling her to launch the marketing edit on LinkedIn, where she shares insights on marketing trends, articles, and podcasts. She advises others to keep trying, maintain effort, and stay true to oneself.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Disha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the support from my family and friends. Because of them, I've started the marketing edit on my LinkedIn where I talk about marketing trends, articles or podcasts.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was to keep on trying, keep on working, don't lose yourself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say keep trying. I do have some points where I go very negative, but I just try to take it in a positive way. Just keep trying, just put in a lot of effort, everything can be done with that.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The challenge is the market with many more qualified and experienced candidates, different skill sets, and coming from India to study and work here in a different country.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Growth and a learning phase are most important to me. If I'm learning and growing, that's very important.
