About Divya
Divya Patel brings more than 15 years of experience to the hospitality industry, where she works in the hotel and motel sector alongside her husband. After relocating from India to the United States in 2005, she built her career through roles in customer service as a senior representative with AT&T and in accounting positions at Citigroup and PwC. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Accounting at a university in Tampa, Florida, while balancing professional responsibilities with family care for her children and in-laws. Patel attributes her success to maintaining professionalism, strong organization, and focus in her work. She values a strong work ethic and a family-oriented approach, and she advises aspiring professionals to focus on clear goals, work hard, never give up, and learn something new every day.

Just focus on my goal, keep your aim clear, and just work hard.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never give up, and learn something new every day. Every day is a different challenge in your life, and just keep learning.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The economy is really bad right now for the hospitality industry with fewer reservations, high gas prices, people getting laid off, and war affecting customers. Opportunity is to keep doing the marketing well.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The value is a work ethic and family-oriented.
