Ten minutes with Divya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I have worked hard throughout my life and learned to be resilient, even when I had to face challenges on my own. One of the values I hold closest is to be strong while also being kind to others. I read constantly because I believe wisdom is most meaningful when it can be used to help people.
After my husband passed away, I was left to raise our two sons on my own. At the time, I was also dealing with significant visa-related challenges, which made an already difficult situation even harder. Despite those obstacles, I kept moving forward, supporting my family and building a life for my children.
These experiences have taught me humility, perseverance, and compassion. They have shown me that everyone is carrying their own struggles, many of which we cannot see. Because of that, I try to treat people with kindness and understanding, knowing that a small act of compassion can make a meaningful difference in someone's life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to stay consistent, hardworking, humble, and kind to others. I’ve learned that while luck may play a role at times, sustained effort, discipline, and perseverance matter far more in the long run. It’s also important to help others whenever possible and support people along the way. Most importantly, never give up, even when challenges feel difficult. This mindset has stayed with me throughout my career journey and continues to guide how I approach my work and personal growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say: always remain humble and compassionate toward others. Keep learning continuously and focus on personal and professional growth. Embrace new challenges and avoid staying in your comfort zone. Build wisdom through experience so you can share it and support others. Above all, be kind. These are the values that have guided me, and I believe they are essential for anyone entering this field.
