About Divya

Divya Sarasan leads product management for the platform and budgeting product line at Springbrook Software, where she works closely with customers to understand their needs and collaborates with engineering teams to deliver solutions for local governance. With more than 15 years in technology and over 10 years leading products at enterprise SaaS companies, she has built high-performing teams and delivered measurable impact at Workday, OpenGov, and Seismic. At Seismic she launched multiple zero-to-one products in reporting, analytics, and data. At OpenGov she pivoted an existing reporting platform and improved customer satisfaction for the budgeting and planning product line. At Workday she grew with the organization and ultimately led the reporting and analytics product team for large enterprises. Divya earned a master's degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree in computing data science from BITS Pilani in India. Outside of her professional work she has long been involved in education equity initiatives, teaching and mentoring students in under-resourced communities in India and the United States and serving on the boards of nonprofit schools. Her core value is tenacity and resilience, and she advises that what has gotten one to a certain point may not be what gets them to the next step.

Ten minutes with Divya

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

What has gotten me here might not necessarily be the thing that gets me to the next step. This advice applies whether starting off or climbing the career ladder or jungle gym.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Have confidence in yourself. Getting out the door is more important than aiming for perfection. Be your own advocate, put yourself out there, and surround yourself with people who can push and support you.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Tenacity and resilience are my number one value. Things will go wrong, so you need to persist.
