Her Story

About Domenica

Domenica Jarvis is a dynamic force in public relations, marketing, and wellness, Domenica Jarvis has built a career centered on connection, resilience, and impact. As an accomplished publicist, Pilates instructor, and movement educator, she has dedicated her professional life to helping others find their voice, strengthen their confidence, and reach their full potential—whether through strategic brand storytelling or empowering individuals through movement and wellness.

Since launching her public relations career in 2018, Domenica has cultivated an impressive portfolio representing luxury resorts, hospitality groups, real estate developments, travel destinations, wellness brands, and emerging businesses. Known for her strategic approach, extensive media relationships, and highly personalized client experience, she has earned a reputation for securing meaningful media placements and creating authentic narratives that resonate with audiences nationwide.

Yet what truly distinguishes Domenica is the journey behind her success.

As a scoliosis and spinal fusion survivor, she understands firsthand the challenges that come with navigating a life-changing diagnosis at a young age. The physical, emotional, and financial realities of scoliosis treatment shaped her perspective and instilled a level of resilience that continues to guide every aspect of her life and career. Rather than allowing adversity to define her, she chose to transform her experience into a source of purpose and advocacy.

Today, Domenica is deeply committed to supporting children, young adults, and families facing scoliosis. Through mentorship programs, volunteer work, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with organizations dedicated to scoliosis awareness and patient support, she strives to ensure that others have access to the encouragement, resources, and guidance that can make all the difference during treatment and recovery.

Her passion for helping others extends naturally into her work as a Pilates instructor and movement educator. Having experienced the transformative power of movement in her own life, Domenica is dedicated to helping individuals build strength, confidence, and body awareness. She believes movement is not only a tool for physical wellness but also a pathway to resilience, empowerment, and healing.

Whether mentoring a young patient preparing for spinal surgery, supporting families through financial assistance initiatives, guiding clients through movement practices, or helping brands tell their stories on a national stage, Domenica approaches every opportunity with compassion, authenticity, and purpose.

Her advocacy efforts have become a meaningful extension of her personal story. By openly sharing her experience as a scoliosis survivor, she helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remind others that challenges can become catalysts for growth and transformation. Her work reflects a deep belief that no family should face the scoliosis journey alone and that lived experience has the power to inspire hope in others.

Today, as she continues to expand her influence across both the communications and wellness industries, Domenica remains committed to using her platform for something greater than professional success. She is passionate about creating opportunities, fostering connection, and uplifting those navigating challenges similar to the ones she once faced herself.

Through her work as a publicist, movement educator, mentor, and advocate, Domenica Jarvis exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose. Her story is one of perseverance, service, and impact—a reminder that our greatest challenges often become the foundation for our most meaningful contributions.

Ten minutes with Domenica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to resilience, adaptability, and my ability to turn challenges into opportunities for growth. At 14, I underwent scoliosis surgery that required two titanium rods in my back, which significantly changed my life and ended my path as a competitive volleyball player despite being recruited to play at Dartmouth. I have also lived with chronic pain since then, and later experienced a serious head-on car accident, both of which have shaped my mindset and strengthened my determination to keep evolving personally and professionally. Over the years, I have remained committed to finding ways to improve my quality of life, learning through trial and error that persistence and self-awareness are essential, and that healing internally reflects externally. I also credit my father, whose entrepreneurial drive and relationship-building inspired me, along with the many mentors I’ve had throughout my career, for reinforcing the value of connection, growth, and service to others. Ultimately, my success is driven by my purpose to help people, build meaningful relationships, and leave others better than I found them.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received comes from my father and mentors in PR and wellness, who have shaped how I approach my work and growth. My father taught me the importance of building genuine relationships and leading with integrity, while my mentors reinforced the value of authentic storytelling, listening closely, and staying true to my voice in client work. These lessons have shown me that success is built through trust, consistency, and meaningful connection.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women to keep going and stay connected to what truly inspires them. There will be challenges, but don’t give up—your personal experiences can become your greatest strengths. I never would have imagined the level I’ve reached after undergoing back surgery at 14, and I am genuinely grateful and proud of that journey. I’ve learned that you can both heal yourself and help others through your work, and that maintaining a grateful heart and an open mind makes growth possible. Stay resilient, embrace your unique path, and focus on building strong, authentic relationships within your industry. Over the years, I’ve built meaningful connections with top-tier media locally and nationally, and those relationships have been invaluable. Most importantly, remember that success is even more meaningful when everyone around you wins too.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in PR today is breaking through a crowded, fast-moving media landscape where attention is limited and constantly shifting. At the same time, it creates strong opportunities to use storytelling, digital platforms, and personal branding in more intentional and impactful ways to build meaningful connections and expand reach.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are authenticity, growth, purpose, and connection. I’m driven by a desire to help others, leave people better than I found them, and create meaningful connections that support both personal and professional success. I approach my work with a wellness and entrepreneurship mindset, and I’m especially passionate about Pilates, personal development, and supporting others through healing and transformation. After my scoliosis surgery and recovery from a serious car accident, I became deeply committed to my own wellness journey and am now pursuing my Pilates teacher certification with the goal of helping others, particularly those managing pain or similar challenges. I believe in leading with gratitude and an open mind, and I see my experiences as a way to inspire and support others in not giving up on their own journeys.
