About Dominique

Dominique Aldridge is a seasoned property management professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry. She currently serves as General Manager at 51 at Southaven, a 430-unit community managed by RR Living, where she oversees daily operations and leads a team of eight professionals. In her role, Dominique focuses on operational excellence, occupancy growth, resident retention, team development, and creating a strong sense of community. She believes every property should serve as a “Place of Peace” (POP)—a safe and welcoming environment where residents can create lasting memories and thrive.

Throughout her career, Dominique has demonstrated exceptional leadership, entrepreneurial ability, and expertise in multifamily operations. She previously founded and managed her own property management company overseeing three apartment communities in Memphis, where she established operational systems, implemented processes, built teams, and achieved strong occupancy and collection results. She also spent four years with Southeastern Property Management at Rock Creek Apartments, where she led a major 200-unit renovation project while developing leasing and maintenance teams from the ground up. Her experience includes improving occupancy rates, strengthening resident relationships, reducing delinquency, and driving property performance.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dominique is passionate about service, resilience, and creating opportunities for others. Her personal journey overcoming housing instability shaped her commitment to helping residents find safe, stable, and supportive communities. She attributes her success to her faith, perseverance, the encouragement of her family, and the guidance of mentors Linda Masterson and Jan Brown. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, Dominique continues to develop as a leader with aspirations of advancing into executive leadership and eventually launching her own real estate development and property management company. She also gives back through volunteer efforts with organizations including St. Jude, the YWCA, and the Dream Center.

01What do you attribute your success to?

My children are my motivators and biggest cheerleaders. I am newly married so my husband is also a cheerleader. I have had two wonderful mentors: Linda Masterson who showed me my strength and pulled me out of self-doubt, and Jan Brown who is encouraging, uplifting and knowledgeable. They have poured so much life and knowledge into me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Continue moving forward with faith, remain resilient through challenges, and never allow fear or setbacks to determine your future.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Stay faithful and never allow fear or setbacks to stop them from achieving their goals. Trust in themselves.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges include finding the right fit for people as the market has shifted, balancing qualified and underqualified residents, and declining leasing due to market changes. Opportunities include networking, collaborating with sister properties, thinking outside the box, job fairs, and building community even with competitors.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My faith is important to me in both. It shows and reflects in your work. Integrity and perseverance are my top three.
