Her Story

About Dominique

My journey into medical device started when I was on the med school route, working as a scribe in ERs while finishing my degree. I had done almost a double undergrad because I transferred and played college sports. My uncle, who was an ER doctor in Las Vegas, was a huge influence in my life - more of a father figure to me - and I shadowed him extensively. But I noticed that many surgeons and trauma docs were very anti-anyone going into medicine because of the corporate restrictions, the loan payments, and the interest rates on med school debt. I knew I wanted to be in healthcare, but I didn't love the numbers I was looking at, so I re-evaluated and started asking questions. Someone told me about the pharmaceutical world, which led me to the device side where there were more clinical positions. I invested in the Medical Sales College, a 12-week intensive program that was very good at job placement. After completing it, I came back to Las Vegas where my husband and I had bought our first home. I spent six months straight interviewing and connecting with people on LinkedIn before landing my first role in spine at Globus, where I launched two robotics programs. I was then recruited into pediatric deformity spine, which I absolutely loved - seeing these young children born with massive spinal deformities and being able to provide relief by straightening their spine with growing rods was incredibly rewarding. I worked with Nuvasive from 2021 through the Globus merger in 2024, spending significant time in Utah with Primary Children's and the University of Utah. In 2025, I joined Telebio, where I work in general surgery, plastic surgery, and trauma surgery focusing on soft tissue reconstruction. My role is very clinically heavy on teaching - I work hand-in-hand with surgeons, presenting clinical studies, educating them on clinical data and procedures through peer-to-peer interaction, medical education, cadaver labs, and Grand Rounds. I maintain relationships by being present in surgeries, bringing in product, and serving as a clinical sounding board and troubleshooter in the OR.

Ten minutes with Dominique

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say realizing the grit. I don't think you understand the things that you go through and the things that you experience until you look back on it years later. When you're in it, it's very educational. It teaches you who you are as a person, so I would say finding that grit and understanding who I am through the challenges has been key to my success.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't quit, put your head down, and never take anything anybody says too seriously. It's about perseverance and not letting others' opinions derail you from your path.
