Donna Facciponti is an experienced manufacturing professional who has built a 14-year career in the semiconductor industry with ON Semiconductor. Since joining the company in 2012, she has worked as an Operator and, since 2016, as a Fabrication Specialist, contributing to fast-paced production operations and the manufacturing of semiconductor components. She takes pride in working in a team-oriented environment where collaboration, efficiency, and achieving daily production goals are essential.

Donna’s educational background includes two associate’s degrees, with studies in Graphic Design and Computer specialization. Before entering semiconductor manufacturing, she gained professional experience working at a library and as a supervisor at Kohl’s. Throughout her career at ON Semiconductor, she has been recognized for her dedication and service, including receiving a 10-year service award and multiple certificates of recognition from managers and supervisors. She credits her colleagues and mentors, including Artie McCardo and Heather Carrero, for providing valuable guidance and encouragement throughout her career.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to teamwork and the people I work with. Their guidance, advice, and resilience have continuously inspired me and helped me overcome challenges. I believe that working together, learning from others, and staying resilient are key factors in achieving success.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to stay true to what I believe in and remain committed to producing high-quality work. I’ve also learned the importance of being open to the influence and inspiration of great team members. Their dedication and perspectives have encouraged me to continue growing while staying grounded in my values.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering my industry is to believe in themselves and pursue their goals with determination. I have had the opportunity to mentor and advise many engineers, and I have been proud to support the advancement of women in engineering. If you set your mind to something, work hard, and stay committed to your goals, you can achieve it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest opportunities in my field is the strength of teamwork and the importance of strong leadership. During challenging times like COVID-19, collaboration and higher-level roles were essential in maintaining operations and keeping organizations moving forward. These experiences highlighted how effective teamwork and leadership can help teams adapt, overcome challenges, and remain resilient.

Reliability and loyalty are the values that matter most to me, both professionally and personally. I believe in being dependable, following through on my commitments, and building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
