About Dorianne

I am a recreation and athletics executive dedicated to developing programs that positively impact communities and student-athletes alike.

Currently, I serve as Superintendent of Recreation for the City of Huntsville, AL, where I oversee recreational programming, facilities, budgeting, and community engagement efforts that serve residents of all ages. My focus is on expanding access, improving operational efficiency, and delivering high-quality services that enhance quality of life.

Prior to municipal leadership, I spent several years in collegiate athletics administration, serving as Athletic Director at Harris-Stowe State University and Wilberforce University, as well as Associate Athletic Director at Alcorn State University. In these roles, I led departmental operations, compliance, fundraising, staffing, and student-athlete development initiatives.

My earlier career included coaching at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and academic advising at Old Dominion University, experiences that shaped my commitment to mentorship, leadership development, and academic success.

Across every role, my mission has remained consistent: build strong programs, empower people, and create environments where individuals and communities can thrive.
