Doris Lew is a seasoned makeup artist and hairstylist based in San Diego, California, with nearly five decades of experience in the beauty industry. She is the owner of Making Up, a business she established in San Diego after building experience in both Los Angeles and Toronto. Doris began exploring makeup and hairstyling at a young age and pursued formal training to develop her natural talent. Her career has encompassed fashion photography, film and television, digital and high-definition production, weddings, commercial work, red-carpet events, conventions, and special events.

Throughout her career, Doris has developed expertise across a wide range of makeup applications, including natural beauty, fashion, glamour, character makeup, special effects, airbrushing, and body painting. She has worked with prominent brands and organizations including Macy’s, MTV, McDonald’s, San Diego Zoo, Toyota, and Coors, as well as celebrities such as Heather Graham, Madonna, and Brooke Shields. As a member of IATSE Local 706, she has maintained professional standards while adapting her craft to the evolving demands of film, television, photography, and live events.
