Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my commitment to growth, service, and community. Transitioning from the corporate world to higher education after becoming an alum of Westchester Community College was a pivotal moment for me. Today, I’m proud to serve as Assistant Director of the Peekskill Center and ESL Coordinator, where I support students from diverse backgrounds. Earning the 2017 Staff Excellence Award, contributing to the Ecuadorian Consulate’s efforts, and serving as a bilingual educator have all been meaningful milestones. With a BA from Fordham, an MBA from Mercy College (4.0 GPA), and plans to pursue a doctorate, I remain driven by a passion for education and impact.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: find what you love and let that guide your path. When you're passionate about your work, it becomes easier to overcome challenges, stay motivated, and make a meaningful impact. Trust yourself, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to pursue opportunities that align with your purpose.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating the impact of AI—particularly in maintaining originality and ensuring its responsible use in education and content creation. At the same time, AI offers incredible opportunities to enhance learning experiences, streamline administrative processes, and foster innovation. The key is thoughtful integration that supports human creativity rather than replaces it.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Passion and purpose are at the core of everything I do. In both my work and personal life, I strive to make a meaningful impact—whether that’s through empowering students, supporting my community, or helping others grow. I believe that when you lead with passion, the results naturally follow.
