Her Story
About Dr.
Dr. Lori Emery is a personal development coach and founder of a personal development company based in Boca Raton, Florida. She began her career in psychology, earning her doctorate and licensing after years of training, and operated a large group practice for 15 years working with children, families, and trauma. Disappointed with the limitations of traditional mental health approaches, she transitioned out of the field to establish her company, where she coaches individuals, couples, and CEOs to achieve deep rooted transformation. Her work includes experiential retreats and intensive weekends focused on helping high achievers move beyond survival patterns. Dr. Emery serves on the fundraising board and committee for the Home Safe program in Boca Raton, supporting foster care children, a role she has held for about 10 years. She attributes her professional drive to her upbringing with parents who faced significant mental health challenges, which inspired her to develop tools that enable faster, lasting change without prolonged therapy.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Allowing what I lived through with my parents' mental health issues to drive me to bring tools into the world so others don't have to suffer for years in therapy. Knowing that pain and wanting to help people be free of it became very near and dear to my heart.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Put ourselves first. Take care of ourselves, get to know ourself on the deepest level possible, and don't stop that journey. All of our results come from where we operate from within ourselves. Stay connected to yourself in a way that is deep and honest. Do experiential work as opposed to just talking about what we think is the problem.
