Dr Lisa Louis

I started my career as a teacher and spent many years with Broward Schools before retiring. After retirement, I took the leap into owning my own childcare business, and I've been running my centers for 10 years now. Every morning, I come in and greet the kids as they arrive - that's my favorite part. I greet the parents, welcome the teachers, and go over their assignments, duties, and lesson plans they're implementing for the day. From there, I walk around and go between both schools, making sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to be doing, that the kids are happy and having fun, and that the teachers are enjoying their daily jobs. We serve children from 6 weeks old all the way up to elementary school age, and we even do after-school care, picking up from elementary schools within our radius. The most rewarding part is watching these kids grow - we have children who started with us at 6 weeks old and are still here years later. It's mind-blowing and priceless. They become like my babies, and the parents know that too, so we share custody.
