Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dr.
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to knowing there was more to me than just nursing and discovering the gifts God built inside me. I emphasize that everyone has a gift from God that they must discover, whether they have a degree or not.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is to have multiple streams of income but also get into a place of meditation to hear from God and partner with the Holy Spirit. Meditation is the secret sauce to success, not a degree. As Joshua 1:8 says, meditating on His Word day and night brings success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Get in the presence of God and let Him order your steps so you do not waste time. Be strategic and know your purpose because there are people waiting on you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
My biggest challenges are not being computer savvy with media, blogs, and social media for exposure, and needing staff or better utilizing AI tools for virtual assistance since I still have to handle end tasks myself.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Operating out of integrity and sowing or planting seeds in the right place for harvest. I view interactions like planting seeds that will yield future results even if not immediate.
