Almenta International’s Approach & Philosophy
System Thinking
Organizations are comprised of systems with products, services, people, and cultures that are complex, interrelated, and influential to one another. By taking a systemic approach to managing the different aspects, organizations can examine linked issues and affect changes for resolution. A systemic approach to solving problems recognizes patterns, determines root causes, and develops effective and sustainable solutions to overcome persistent issues. A systemic approach can also be described as end-to-end, which means it solves issues holistically and not in isolation or independently. When trying to solve issues in isolation, the probability of overall success is reduced while the chances of ongoing and associated issues are increased. The holistic systemic approach establishes that everything is interconnected and that within a challenge there can even be shrouded undercurrents that need to be exposed.
The Almenta International Way: 5-step process
Every client is unique. That’s why no two programs that Almenta delivers are the same. Almenta International takes pride in offering holistic capability building solutions that are customized to the unique needs of each of our clients using its proven 5-step process that focuses on an organization’s goals. Below is a snapshot view of the process and more can be shared at a later stage.
The 5-step process is crucial for capability-building and organizational development initiatives because it lays the foundation for a successful and effective program. The initial phase of gathering information, analyzing needs, and understanding the context before designing and implementing any solutions is what sets Almenta International apart from other training consultants. Almenta does not force-feed a pre-determined program to its clients. Further, ensuring that the rest of the program is informed by the Discover Phase guarantees relevancy and currency as well as alignment with overall business goals. Finally, because the process involves cohort-learning – a learning strategy that prioritizes interactive engagement between members from start to completion – it builds a sense of community and support, encourages peer accountability, and increases knowledge retention because it often includes an element of fun through group activities and experiential learning.

Ten minutes with Dr. Mary
01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith and belief in Christ are the foundation of who I am and how I lead. They shape my values, guide my decisions, and anchor me during seasons of uncertainty and change. This faith gives me clarity of purpose and the courage to act with integrity, even when the path is not easy.
I come from a strong family background where my parents instilled in me the importance of vision, purpose, and disciplined commitment. From an early age, I was taught not only to dream, but to work consistently and intentionally toward meaningful goals. That grounding continues to influence how I approach both my personal and professional life. I am deeply supported by my siblings and my husband, whose encouragement and belief in me give me the freedom to pursue new ideas, stretch myself, and step boldly into new adventures.
I am not afraid to be different or to stand out. My sense of identity is rooted in strong values and deeply held beliefs, which allows me to lead authentically rather than conforming to expectations that do not align with who I am. This has enabled me to bring a distinctive perspective to my work and to create spaces where others feel empowered to do the same.
Resilience has been a defining attribute throughout my journey. I refuse to give up, even when faced with obstacles, setbacks, or unfamiliar terrain. I have learned to adapt, to navigate change with intention, and to remain open to growth. While I hold firmly to my core principles, I allow myself to be flexible in how I move forward—adjusting strategies, learning from experience, and responding thoughtfully to changing circumstances. This balance of conviction and adaptability has been central to my success and continues to shape how I lead, serve, and grow.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is that success is not primarily about how smart you are, but about how intentional you are with your commitment. It is about showing up consistently, following through on what you promise, and demonstrating professionalism in every interaction—especially when no one is watching.
I was taught that excellence is often found in the small things others overlook: being prepared, meeting deadlines, communicating clearly, honoring commitments, and treating people with respect at every level. These details may seem insignificant in isolation, but together they build trust, credibility, and a reputation that speaks louder than talent alone.
This advice also helped me understand that I am the total package—I am the brand. How I think, speak, prepare, listen, respond, and conduct myself all contribute to how my work and leadership are experienced by others. There is no separation between “big moments” and “small moments”; every interaction either strengthens or weakens the brand I represent.
Because of this, I strive to elevate every part of myself—my skills, mindset, character, relationships, and presence. I take responsibility for continuous growth, knowing that sustained impact comes not from brilliance in bursts, but from disciplined excellence over time. This perspective has shaped how I lead, how I serve, and how I build trust, and it continues to be a guiding principle throughout my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
If I were advising a young woman entering this industry, I would first tell her to anchor herself in who she is before trying to prove what she can do. Your values and sense of purpose are not obstacles to success they are your compass. There will be moments when you are asked, subtly or directly, to shrink, conform, or compromise. Do not be afraid to be different. When your identity is rooted in strong beliefs and clarity of purpose, you can lead and contribute with confidence and authenticity.
Second, understand that your success will not be determined solely by how smart or talented you are. Talent opens doors, but commitment keeps them open. Be known as someone who follows through, who is prepared, who does the work with excellence, and who treats every responsibility big or small as important. The little things matter far more than people admit. They build trust, credibility, and a reputation that will carry you when opportunities arise.
Third, recognize early that you are the brand. How you show up, communicate, listen, prepare, respond to feedback, and handle pressure all shape how others experience you. Every part of youyour professionalism, character, mindset, and presence should be intentional and aligned. Elevating your skills is important, but elevating how you carry yourself is just as critical.
Fourth, and critically, learn to understand people across personalities, generations, cultures, and perspectives. You will work with individuals who think differently, communicate differently, and are motivated by very different things. Influence does not come from insisting on your preferred style; it comes from emotional intelligence. Take time to understand what drives people, what they value, and how they experience the world. Respect differences in style and perspective, and learn to adapt your approach without compromising your values. The most effective leaders and professionals are those who can flex how they engage, communicate, and influence because they understand that connection precedes impact.
Finally, cultivate resilience and adaptability. There will be seasons of uncertainty, change, and disappointment. Do not let them define or derail you. Refuse to give up. Hold firmly to your core values while remaining flexible in your approach. Growth often requires adjustment, learning, and patience. If you stay grounded, committed, and willing to evolve, you will not only succeed—you will build a career and legacy that truly reflects who you are.
