Her Story

About Dr. Jasmyn

Jasmyn Wright serves as CEO and founder of the Push Through Organization, a nonprofit she launched to serve as a hub for the global Push Through movement. She began her career teaching in the classroom in 2010 as a licensed elementary school teacher and has remained an educator while building and leading the organization from Wilmington, Delaware. The Push Through affirmation she developed for students went viral in 2016, leading to a Gap Kids global back-to-school campaign and translations into multiple languages with reach in over 60 countries. In her role, Wright oversees curriculum design and development while serving as a global keynote speaker and facilitator of trainings. She is also an author of the Simon and Schuster children's book I'm Going to Push Through, and a 2026 Gems Education Global Teacher Award Finalist. Wright holds a doctorate in educational leadership from Sacred Heart University focused on social emotional and academic leadership through her Push Through philosophy, which she completed following hybrid studies, and holds an undergraduate degree from Spelman College, her HBCU in Atlanta, Georgia. She offers youth programs globally and partners with organizations to expand programming internationally.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Dr. Jasmyn

01What do you attribute your success to?

God

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Trust your journey and believe in yourself. Your journey is not going to look like someone else's. Everyone's path and journey and purpose is different, so trust the journey and the work that God gave you, and just trust the ups, the downs, the highs, the lows. You're in the oven, not the microwave.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Loyalty and humble beginnings are important to me. I value somebody with a humble beginning, someone who's pushed through.
