Dr. Katy Miller

I formulate and create supplements and pet food for dogs and cats, anything from complete and balance to supplemental feeding. I work in research helping with target animal safety studies on new ingredients for pet foods and helping those become generally recognized as safe by AAFCO. I've published a paper in animals on microbial proteins for use in pet food. I do studies on supplements and dental chews to make sure they work, testing on skin and coat quality, joint health, or dental health, and writing white papers. My passion is education, so I do educational writing, ghost writing for pet food companies, and educational seminars and continuing education programs for veterinarians and veterinary technicians, mostly online.
