Many families continue to experience barriers related to provider shortages, geographic location, socioeconomic factors, insurance limitations, and caregiver training, making it difficult for children to receive consistent intervention.

At the same time, she sees tremendous opportunities for growth. Advances in telehealth, caregiver implemented interventions, and technology are expanding the reach of ABA services beyond the traditional clinic setting. There is also an increasing emphasis on individualized, compassionate, and assent based care that promotes meaningful outcomes while honoring the unique strengths and needs of each individual.

Dr. Miller believes the future of the profession lies in innovation, collaboration, and mentorship.
