About Dr. Lynette
Dr. Lynette Angeloni serves as an instructional coach and mentor for future educators at Western Governors University. With 41 years in the field of education, she has taught every grade level in K-12 settings, held administrative roles across all levels, and helped start three schools. Her background in visual and performing arts informs her support for future teachers, and she brings a passion for making a difference that stems from her early desire to help others, as noted in a childhood newspaper article. Dr. Angeloni earned her PhD from Capella University after attending Kent State University in Ohio. She is currently working toward her ICF ACC coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation. In addition to her professional work, she is president of her community's pickleball club and earned a bronze medal in singles at the National Senior Olympics. She views challenges as opportunities for growth and creative solutions, inspired by a quote from Henri Matisse, and she models care, compassion, and passion for the educators she mentors.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Someone once told me I was the light that walked into a room. Once I recognized that, I see that I bring a sense of passion to others. It's my nature to bring that passion and joy to others.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges are opportunities to grow and learn. Mistakes lead to discovering something new, as per Matisse quote, leading to more creative solutions.
