Her Interview
Ten minutes with Dr. Monique
01What do you attribute your success to?
My hardworking family, especially my mother who tirelessly gave her all to ensure her children were better off.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Unlearn everything you know and be willing to learn everything every day. Walk into every room making sure your client feels like they know more than you because every story is unique.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is funding, especially losing $15 billion as of July 1st due to the current administration. The opportunity is the LA 2028 Olympics which requires cleaning up homelessness, but it is a double-edged sword as we shift from the Housing First model to treat first, house later.
